How to apply
Am I eligible to apply for an IAESTE traineeship?

To apply for an IAESTE traineeship you should fulfil the following criteria:

* You must be a full-time student in Higher Education.
* IAESTE must be represented in the country in which you are studying your degree course. Please check the Country list.
* Please note that each country has its own set of application criteria that must be met. Please contact IAESTE in your home country for details.
* Your subject studied must be within the field of Science, Technology, Engineering, Agriculture or Applied Arts. Please check the Disciplines section.

How do I apply?

* You must apply through IAESTE in your home country.
* Each IAESTE country has its own application deadlines but they are normally within the IAESTE Exchange calendar.
* Please note that you will only be able to apply for specific traineeships which your country has available. You will generally not be able to specify your preferred destination or Employer.
* Please do not send CVs to either IAESTE International or to your National Office unless you are asked to do so.

Participation in the IAESTE exchange is open to bona fide students attending courses at Universities, Institutes of Technology and similar Institutions of Higher Education in the Study fields IAESTE covers.

The IAESTE programme is not open to those who are about to start their University or College studies, nor is it available to those who have left University. Exceptions can be made for fresh graduates doing their practical training immediately after final examinations. Post-doctorate trainees will normally not be accepted. Students who are interested in an IAESTE placement abroad must apply through IAESTE in their home country.

As IAESTE A.s.b.l. is a confederation of National Offices which have a bilateral exchange of offers it is only a Member or Co-operating Institution that can provide a placement.

GTZ Scholarship Program for Master of Legum (LL.M.) in Germany:

"Sustainable Development needs rule of law"

Objective:
Since 2002 the Caucasus-initiative from the Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) promotes border-crossing cooperation between the South Caucasian countries. Within this framework the German Development Cooperation (GTZ) supports the conjoint further qualification and networking of young jurists from the region by financing scholarships for LL.M-studies at a self-chosen university in Germany. Altogether GTZ sponsors up to nine scholarships, three each for Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan. The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) supports GTZ with the grant of the scholarships.

"Sustainable Development needs rule of law" - and rule of law needs young, good qualified jurists from the three South Caucasian countries who advocate the rule of law approach in their home countries.

A LL.M.-degree awarded from a German university offers young future executives in judiciary and administration the opportunity

- to obtain deeper insights in Civil Law traditions and rule of law
- to consolidate their knowledge in legal methodology as well as
- to develop their German language knowledge to fluency

and by this higher qualification further their professional career. The participating scholars of the LL.M.-program will build a cross-bordering professional network within the neighbouring South Caucasian countries and Germany. Therefore in the long term they are interesting cooperation partners for GTZ and its programs to promote legal and judiciary reforms. While introducing their new competences in their daily work the scholars play an important role in the advancing legal and judiciary reforms in their countries.

Participants:

The LL.M.-scholarship program "Sustainable Development needs rule of law" is addressed to jurists from judiciary and administration

" with a completed university degree in law
" who work at least for two years in a public institution
" aged between 24 and 35
" with an interest in German law
" and interest in an international degree,
" who already have German language knowledge (at least B2 level) or good English knowledge (for an LL.M. in English language).

The participants need to fulfill the prerequisites to admission of the chosen university (except the language certificate) for the LL.M.-studies. The scholarship includes also a language course from up to six months duration (partly in the home country, partly in Germany) which prepares the participants to the necessary language certificate.
In addition, GTZ supports the participants in advance to get a leave of absence from their employer for the period of study.

На сайте каждого из них имеются информации про стипендии. Запомните, что в объявлениях бывают больше конкуренции, нежели, если вы сами находите и подаете. Постарайтесь связаться с каким-то профессором, разузнайте нужную информацию и т.д.

The appointments are for a period of 3-4 years, depending on the teaching load. Fellows with 4-year appointments will have 75% of their working hours available for research training and 25% for performing mandatory work for the Department.

One position is connected to the project "Econometric aspects of the credit crisis", funded by The Norwegian Research Council. The applicants for this position is expected to have a special interest in understanding advanced methods for dynamic econometric modelling, and in developing a talent for relevant applications of these methods to real word issues.

One position is connected to ESOP (Centre for the study of Equality, Social Organization, and Performance). Candidates for this position should have a research interest in areas such as comparative welfare state arrangements, mechanisms of social mobility, studies of institutional arrangements, forms of redistribution and labor organization. The other positions are not linked to specific topics or research projects, and the students can choose their own projects freely.

The applicants must indicate which of the grants they are applying for.

A Master's degree, the degree of cand oecon, a Norwegian hovedfag or an equivalent qualification in economics is required. Scholarships:
Applicants accepted will be employed and enrolled at the IT University for a period of 3 or 4 years. Appointment and salary will be in accordance with the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC). For example, the basic salary of a 3 year PhD student amounts to DKK 24.745,18 per month.

General information:
A successful applicant will be an excellent student capable of conducting research under supervision from the IT University’s faculty members at the highest international level. The PhD scholarships run for a period of 3- or 4-years depending on the university degree level of the applicant.
The following qualifications are required:
•3 year programme: A Master’s degree (5 years of University Studies) qualifies
for a 3-year PhD program.
•4 year programme: A Bachelor degree (3 years of University Studies) + one year (60ECTS) of MA exams. The 60 MA-level ECTS points must be transferable to one of the Master programs at the IT University.
One year of full time studies consists of 1680 hours and equals 60 ECTS points.

Application Guidelines

The Open Society Institute offers supplementary grants to students from select countries of Eastern and Central Europe, the former Soviet Union, and Mongolia. The purpose of the program is to enable qualified students to pursue doctoral studies in the humanities and social sciences at accredited universities in Asia, Australia, Europe, the Middle/Near East, and North America.
Eligibility

The Global Supplementary Grant Program (GSGP) is available to citizens of the following: Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia, Croatia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Macedonia, Moldova, Mongolia, Montenegro, Russia, Serbia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan.
Ineligibility

Students pursuing doctorates in the medical, physical, chemical, technical or natural sciences as well as fine or performing arts are not eligible for this grant. Ineligible fields of study include:

* Business Administration/Management Training
* Computer Science
* Finance/Banking/Marketing
* Engineering
* Hard & Natural Sciences (Physics, Biology, Chemistry, etc.)
* Mathematics
* Medical Sciences

GSGP grants are for students pursuing doctorate degrees only. Students admitted to master’s programs with the intent to continue, but who are not clearly admitted into a PhD program, are ineligible.

Please note that this is a supplementary program not intended for full funding. Applicants must be able to demonstrate additional support from other sources.

The deadline for students pursuing a Ph.D. in Asia, Australia, North America, or the Middle East is April 2, 2010.

The deadline for students pursuing a Ph.D. in Europe is June 10, 2010.

Applications will not be accepted after the appropriate deadline. Late applications will be automatically disqualified.

JODI INTERNSHIPS
for officials from Developing Countries
The Joint Oil Data Initiative (JODI) is an outcome of the producer-consumer dialogue in the
International Energy Forum and a flagship activity for the IEF Secretariat. More than 90 countries
are submitting oil data covering products and flows on a monthly basis to JODI with the aim of
contributing to the oil market transparency that again will reduce market volatility and enhance
global energy security.
The Government of Norway has generously provided to the Secretariat additional funding to
promote JODI among developing countries. This enables the Secretariat to offer short-term
internships at Secretariat Headquarters in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for officials in developing countries
dealing directly with oil market statistics.
The Secretariat invites IEF and JODI participating countries to forward applications from
interested candidates in their relevant energy agencies. A primary objective of the internships would
be to strengthen working level contacts between the country in question and the Secretariat as well
as to improve and maintain the quality of national data submissions to JODI.
The envisaged duration of the short-term JODI internships would be two – six weeks. The
Secretariat would provide economy class return travel and per diem allowances corresponding to
UN rates.
The IEF Secretariat is co-ordinating JODI with the active support of partner organizations: the
Asia-Pacific Economic Co-operation (APEC), the European Union through Eurostat, the
International Energy Agency (IEA), the Latin-American Energy Organization (OLADE), the

Təhsil müddəti 5 ildir (7 il: Tibb, Stomatologiya, Baytarlıq, Farmakologiya).

Title of project 1
“Welfare state legitimacy: cross-national analyses from a multi-dimensional perspective”(Vacancy number 400.10.13). The social legitimacy of the welfare state is mostly measured by the degree to which citizens support government responsibility in regulating and/or providing social benefits and services. However, people will also have opinions and preferences regarding underlying principles of redistributive justice, implementation practices, and outcomes of welfare, which may add to their overall evaluation of the welfare state. This project aims to study welfare legitimacy from a multi-dimensional perspective.
Title of project 2
“Individual and social effects of income inequality” (Vacancy number 400.10.14) The negative relation between income inequality in countries and the general health status of their citizens is well-studied. The aim of this cross-national project is to look into other possible social and individual consequences of income inequality, using models that are capable of distinguishing between micro and macro explanations, and the possible interrelations between the two.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The main task of the candidates is to carry out theoretical and empirical analyses of the individual level and context level determinants of (project 1) welfare state legitimacy as a multi-dimensional phenomenon, or (project 2) the individual and social effects of income inequality in countries. In addition to their research, candidates will follow taught courses to develop their theoretical and methodological skills, and they will participate as teaching assistants in the sociology courses of the department.
REQUIREMENTS
We look for graduated students who: - have completed a master programme in sociology, social policy, or political science, with very good results - have (EU comparative) knowledge of social inequalities and social policies - have knowledge of techniques for the analysis of large-scale survey data, especially also of multi-level analyses - are ambitious and can work independently, and have good analytical skills.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
The PhD positions offer a four year full-time contract, or a five year part-time contract (0.8 fte), commencing 1 September 2010. The salary for a full-time contract ranges between € 2042,- and € 2612,- gross a month (UFO scale PhD student).
